As the fourth largest pizza chain in the world, you would think Papa John’s would be the last place you would find any Bitcoin action. But surprisingly, the company has started a new marketing campaign to promote their UK pizza sales, complete with a new Bitcoin faucet that will give you free crypto currency when you order a pizza. The faucet giveaway will last for one week, and is open to all customers who make a purchase at their UK delivery site.
It’s a tried-and-true marketing strategy: the pizza chain has been giving away free pepperoni pizzas to anyone who orders using a special code, in this case “PIZZABTC”. The offer is valid from November 15, 2017, to January 1, 2018, and it can be used online at papajohns.co.uk, at any of the chain’s 200-plus locations in the United Kingdom, and at “selected” UK pop-ups. According to the chain, customers in the UK will be able to walk away with a freebie for themselves and a friend every time they buy two regular menu pizzas.
