India is set to adopt blockchain technology in order to verify the authenticity of their Diploma certificates. This will make it easier for employers and universities to find qualified candidates, while also giving students more transparency on their academic records.

The blockchain news is a report that India will adopt Ethereum’s blockchain to verify diploma certificates.

News on the Blockchain

India is one of the few nations that has implemented an e-governance system for higher education. All of this is possible due to a new partnership with LegitDoc. Maharashtra’s government has announced a collaboration with Indian blockchain firm LegitDoc. This is in order to provide an Ethereum-controlled credentialing system that will provide tamper-proof sealed diploma certificates.

The Maharashtra State Board of Skill Development (MSBSD) is utilizing Ethereum-based public blockchains to fight the increase in document falsification. This is in direct opposition to India’s crypto boycott narrative. While the certificates are verified using traditional manual methods, LegitDoc CEO Neil Martis said in an exclusive interview with Cointelegraph that MSBSD will only support the computerized verification method at first. This would apply to all manual check requests starting in January of the following year.

“We have an active work order from the Government of Karnataka,” Martis said, demonstrating interest from other local government bodies (Department of Information Technology and Biotechnology). We’re in discussions with the Telangana government’s school education department and Maharashtra’s Higher and Technical Education department about implementing LegitDoc for their student population.”

The National Institute of Technology (Surathkal) and Ashoka University, for example, are in talks. Martis said that a similar response to the ongoing document fraud must be implemented.

Difficulties are a group of problems.

With the partnership with LegitDoc, India joins the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Malta, and Singapore as early users of an e-administration framework for education. Returning to MIT’s implementation of the precisely crafted sealed blockchain diploma. Stuart Madnick, according to Cointelegraph, believes that blockchain comes with a unique set of challenges.

Most significantly, the blockchain architecture tackles encryption and security issues. In the end, it will be impotent in some of the same ways that previous inventions have been. Blockchain is one-of-a-kind in that it has novel flaws. Human acts and inactions do, in fact, have significant implications for blockchain security.
